Congratulations to ’77 Times’, the Winner of 1st Edition of Indiana’s Got Talent. There will be a press conference in the near future featuring ’77 Times’ and the Boys and Girls Club of America. The winner will also be featured on call-in interviews with WMEE and other media sources as they prepare for part of their Grand Prize package—A fully produced and promoted live event at a premier venue compliments of Mike the Pike Productions and a recording package compliments of Sweetwater Sound.
Everyone who participated did a terrific job and Mike the Pike Productions is thrilled to have been introduced to this amazing pool of talent. Thanks to everyone who made this event a fantastic evening including Our Sponsors, Miss Indiana (Nicole Pollard), Kuntz Audio Visual Lifestyles, IPFW, Boys & Girls Club ofFort Wayne and all the contestants and their loved ones.
Everybody shined and many who attended have emailed and called commenting on how surprised they were at how much talent there is in our own statewide community. In our opinion, they haven’t seen anything yet. With each edition, we expect a greater number of contestants with a rich, diverse mix of talent.
The sponsorships and reaction to this event have also made it possible for the 2nd edition to feature a larger panel of judges with unique industry and cultural perspectives. The 2nd edition will also feature TWO grand prize winners— a Judges Pick and an Audience Choice winner, both selected from the entire pool of contestants. WE WILL BE ANNOUNCING 2ND EDITION AUDITIONS SOON! ALL OF THOSE WHO MADE IT TO DEC. 30 FINALS WILL HAVE THE REGISTRATION FEE WAIVED.
NOW FOR THE REALLY GREAT PART—Indiana’s Got Talent isn’t just about a one night competition with one winner- It’s the first step in Mike the Pike Productions efforts to give exposure and opportunity to talented individuals and groups that may otherwise go unrecognized or unappreciated. We aim for these events and their spinoffs to create stepping stones for those genuinely interested in a career in the entertainment industry. Most of the performers were truly gracious and enthusiastic and it’s this attitude that we encourage all contestants to adopt. The night means many things beyond winning a grand prize and a career in the performing arts is not an easy one to pursue. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and elements such as attitude, opportunity and networks are what position a performer for success.
MIKE THE PIKE PRODUCTIONS WILL BE PULLING FROM THE ENTIRE POOL OF TALENT, PRIMARILY FINALISTS, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR OPPORTUNIES to perform at CONCERTS, EVENTS AND IN ITS MOTION PICTURE DEPARTMENT BE IT MODELING, OPENING FOR HEADLINERS, ACTING, SOUNDTRACK PERFORMANCE, CHOREOGRAPHY & more….One such event will be announced soon in the form of a select group of finalists to perform in a fully produced and promoted variety show in the coming months.
