77 Times is…Alex Renbarger(13)-vocals/lyrics/rhythm guitar, Hogan Brecount(14)-lead guitar, Evan Turner(13)-drums, and Jesse Hardiek(13)-bass guitar/backing vocals. Based out of Fort Wayne, 77 Times began last year as four 7th grade guys with a dream and a passion for writing and performing hard-rocking original music with a positive message. We’ve written over a dozen songs that focus on a theme of forgiveness and grace in spite of our imperfections. The song that we performed for this audition is simply titled 77, and has a message about forgiving your “brother” 77 times…no limit! We hope to be writing and ROCKING for a long, long time!
Hi everybody I’m Kevin Kitt. I am currently a sophomore at Ball State University and have a very wonderful family with a younger brother and sister, mom and dad to support me in everything I do. My talent for Indiana’s Got Talent is Beatboxing. I would tell you all what beatboxing is, but I’m not going to so that way you can watch my video in amazement. I found out I could do this all the way back in the 3rd grade. Just imagine this ten year old boy walking down the halls of elementary school bustin’ a beat. Like my family and many others out there, we are all working our tails off to make a living in this nation. Sometimes all that hard work can become very overwhelming, and we need an escape from it all. I hope you watching my talent does just that for you. I hope you all enjoy it and that it puts a smile of amazement on your face because I love making people smile and giving you a breath of fresh air. Enjoy and God Bless!
My blood, my inspiration, and my hero, Walter Fischer, Jr. passed away on November 29, 2008. He came to almost EVERY ONE of my shows, regardless of the weather or the drive. I miss him every day of my life. Every time I sang “My Way”, I dedicated it to him. He would close his eyes and I would see his tears start to trickle down his face. That was his song. The hardest thing I have ever had to do was to lose him. The world lost a great hero. He fought in the battle for Leyte Gulfduring World War II and was on the shore when Gen. Douglas MacArthur made his famous return to the Philippines. It was really something to touch an old Marine so deeply that he would shed a tear. I pray every day that I make him proud both in how I live my life, and through my performances. MacArthur once said “Old soldiersnever die, they just fade away…”. I will never let the memory of my grandfather fade away because every time I sing “My Way”, I do it in honor of a great
hero..a great soldier…a great Marine (Semper Fi)…and a great man…as well as a wonderful grandfather. HE is the reason I decided to join “Indiana’s Got Talent”. He would have loved to see me enter and would’ve been front and center at every contest. I hope my performances in the contest make him proud, because even though I may not be able to see him, I know he is there. My basic reason for performing is simple. There a lot of people with a lot of problems in their lives. There are people that’d do ANYTHING to escape the pain in their lives, if even just for a moment or two. I want to be a way that they escape their pains. People who come to my shows often forget about their problems for at least the length of my show. That is all that I could ask. I hope to inspire others the way that grandpa inspired me. I want to make a difference in the world and bring a smile to people’s faces. I donate up to half of the money that I make as Elvis to churches and charities and I hope to be able to help out the Boys and Girls Club through this contest. Helping others and having fun are ALWAYS the best reasons to perform! Thank you for your time and consideration. God bless you all and I hope to see you at the show!
Hi everybody, my name is Emma Huffman. I am 12 years old and am a 7th grader at Leo Jr/Sr High School. I’ve been singing since I was about 4 or 5 and I recently sang the National Anthem at a Tin Caps game. I like to write my own songs and hope to set them to music soon. My mom and dad inspire me the most because they push me to try harder. My friends are also an influence as they have a lot to do with what I write about. I listen to a variety of music and my favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Dead Man and of course, Rihanna.
James ‘Taz’ Conley was born October 27th, 1991 in Kokomo, Indiana. Always having a love for music and rhythm, he began playing the drums at age 3. He took a quick interest in percussion and decided that this would be his instrument of choice. His mother, Shannon, and father, James Sr., always encouraged him to be the best at whatever he did and supported him as much as possible. His mother and father divorced when he was very young causing him to switch up his point of interest.
Hi, my name is Bradi Whitacre and I am fourteen years old. I have been dancing for over 8 years now. Dance is one of the many reasons that keep me on my feet everyday. The classes and workouts might be hard, but I love doing it. I attend K Monique’s Studio of Dance. My teachers are Kristin Pagan, Chelsea Dumas, Jill Heath, Edward Moffat, and Christina Ray. I take on dance styles like jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, and ballet. My favorite type of dance style varies from day to day. Some days I look forward to doing a nice soft lyrical dance, but then other days I want to put all of my energy into a hip-hop dance. One of my favorite parts of dancing is when we learn combos in class and then get to show them off to all of the students and to our parents. I hope to do dance in the future and make it one of my life long careers.
